Pomeranian grooming and breed-standard trim
A Pomeranian's beauty is its double coat — a dense undercoat under longer guard hairs. We trim Pomeranians to breed standard only — never short, never into a "teddy bear". Short-cut guard hairs grow back more slowly than the undercoat, which then mats, and after a close clip the coat can take many months to return. Instead, every Full Groom is a deep wash, a thorough undercoat brush-out before and after the bath, and a neat breed-standard outline of the silhouette, paws and ears.

Why we never cut a Pomeranian short. A short cut can lead to alopecia — hair loss. A Pomeranian has a double coat: long guard hairs and a dense undercoat. The guard hairs hold the undercoat in place, but after a short cut they grow back more slowly than the undercoat. The undercoat mats into a felt-like layer, the skin stops breathing, and the hair may fall out. So we brush out the undercoat and trim only to the breed standard.

The Hygienic Groom includes
Everything in the Full Groom except the breed trim — instead, we neatly tidy the paws and hygiene areas. Ideal every 2 weeks between full grooms.
For puppies
Up to 6 months there is almost nothing to trim yet, so puppies get the Hygienic Groom: a gentle brush-out, bath, blow-dry and tidy paws. A calm first visit teaches your puppy that grooming is something to enjoy.

How often: a Hygienic Groom every 2 weeks keeps the coat neat between full grooms.
How often
A Full Groom once a month — ears cleaned, nails trimmed, paw pads tidied and the coat deshedded and trimmed to standard. A Hygienic Groom with a brush-out every two weeks, so you don't have to battle the undercoat at home. Puppies under six months have the hygienic groom only.

Can you cut my Pomeranian short or "teddy-bear" style?
No — we trim Pomeranians to breed standard only. A short cut can lead to alopecia: guard hairs regrow more slowly than the undercoat, which then mats. We deshed and trim to breed standard instead.
Won't a full coat make him too hot in Dubai?
No. A well-brushed coat lets air circulate under the fur, and the coat itself protects the skin from overheating. That's why we remove the dead undercoat instead of cutting the coat short.
How much does Pomeranian grooming cost?
Full Groom AED 420 (about 2.5 hours); Hygienic Groom AED 260 (about 1 h 15 min). Puppies up to 6 months: Hygienic Groom AED 260.
My Pom was shaved before — can you help?
Yes — we help the coat grow back. Frequent brush-outs and moisturising care (shampoo, masks and conditioner) support healthy regrowth.
